But there are only 7 species of frogfish in the Red Sea and the giant frogfish is the one most commenly found because of its size and because it likes to sit on exposed sponges and it is the largest of the frogfishes living here (up to 30cm in size).

Im Roten Meer leben nur 7 Anglerfisch-Arten. Der Riesen-Anglerfisch ist wohl derjenige, der am meisten von Tauchern gefunden wird. Er ist der grösste der hier lebenden Anglerfische und sitzt gerne exponiert auf grossen Schwämmen.
