Both frogfishes found on black sand in Lembeh Strait in Sulawesi Indonesia. The black frogfish is definately a giant frogfish (see details why).

The pink frogfish which is 1.5 inches (3.5cm) long. Identification as a giant frogfishes is not very certain, because the lure is not visible. Only based on this photo: shape of spines, absence of darkly pigmented dorsal spot, knowledge of habitat (Lembeh straits, Indonesia), no warts.

Beide Anglerfische wurden auf schwarzem Sand in der Lembeh Strasse in Sulawesi Indonesien gefunden. Der schwarze Anglerfisch ist definitiv ein Riesenangler (siehe weshalb)

Der rosa Anglerfisch war nur etwa 3.5cm lang. Die Identifikation ist hier nicht ganz sicher, da die Angel nicht zu sehen ist. Basiert auf einem Foto: Aussehen und Form der Stacelstrahlen, keine Flecken, Kenntnis des Lebensraumes (Lembeh), keine Warzen.
