This tiny frogfish could be found during several days sitting on an old piece of rope.

On the photo below you can see the rod and lure in good detail. I was astonished, that I actually was able to capture it, since the frogfish was not more than 4cm large...

Dieser Baby Anglerfisch war während mehreren Tagen sitzend auf einem alten Seil anzutreffen.

Auf dem unteren Foto sieht man die Angel in aller Deutlichkeit - bei dieser Vergrösserung war es für mich eine Überraschung, dass ich das überhaupt hingekriegt hatte....

I identified all frogfishes (anglerfishes) to my best knowledge. Frogfishes are specially difficult to identify (see tips for identification) so mistakes are possible of course! Please write to me, if you have any questions. Latin names according to the ITIS Standard Report and Fishbase.
