This uncommon photo of a black painted frogfish was taken in Cebu in the Philippines. This frogfish is easily confused with the black colored clown frogfish (Antennarius maculatus). Both have orange warts, but the painted frogfish also has a bluish edge to its fins. More information.

Dieser Anglerfisch aus Cebu (Philippinen) zeigt eine spezielle schwarze Fäbung, die nur die Jungtiere des Rundflecken - Anglerfisches haben. Auch der Warzen-Anglerfisch (Antennarius maculatus) kann schwarz sein und Warzen haben, aber er hat keine bläulichen Rückenflossen. Mehr Informationen dazu.
