In Lembeh you dive on sand and mud - so called muck diving and I saw this frogfish several times on and around a field of pink - gray sponges. These sponges were like a oasis of life, there were seahorses, frogfish, stonefish and nudibranchs living on and under them. This frogfish was nearly not visible, since its color matched the sponge. Frogfish like to stay at the same place for quite a while if not disturbed.

Please also notice the samll blue flatworm nearly crawling on top of the leg of the frogfish.

In Lembeh taucht man vor allem auf Sand - sogenanntes Muck-Tauchen. Diesen Anglerfisch sah ich mehrere Male immer wieder am selben Ort, einer Ansammlung von grau-rosa Schwämmen. Jedesmal war es eine Herausforderung, ihn wieder zu finden, denn obwohl wir wussten, dass er mit grosser Wahrscheinlich noch da war, so war doch seine Farbe einfach zu perfekt an den Schwamm angepasst.

Bitte beachtet auch den kleinen blauen Plattwurm, der fast auf seinen Fuss hinaufkriecht.
