This striped frogfish has an unusual color - a nice yellow. Interesting about this one was the thing that dangeled at his lure (see detail below).

Since this yellow frogfish was following around a female frogfish swollen with eggs I have been thinking, that what seems to be glued to its lure must be some eggs. I am not entirely sure, maybe it is a parasite I don't know, on the close-up there seem to be something like legs (second picture). Then I sometimes think it might be just a sea squirt......

Dieser Anglerfisch hat eine ungewöhnliche Farbe - gelb. Interessant ist, dass an seiner Angel etwas zu kleben scheint (sihe detail unten)

Da der grössere Anglerfisch ein trächtiges Weibchen ist, dachte ich zuerst, es handle sich eventuell um Eier, die an der Angel kleben. Ich bin immer noch nicht ganz sicher, denke aber in der Zwischenzeit, dass es auch ein Parasit sein könnte. Auf der nachfolgenden Vergrösserung scheinen so eine Art Beine oder Anhängsel zu sein. Parasit oder eine Seescheide....?
