If you dive about a week in Lembeh strait you are sure to find one of the hairy frogfishes, although it is quite rarely seen in other dive areas. You find them here in all sizes (see photos of another baby)

Falls man etwa eine Woche in der Lembeh Strasse taucht, so findet man sicher einen Gestreifeten Anglerfisch (Hairy frogfish). In andern Gebieten ist eher selten zu finden. Hier findet man ihn in allen Grössen (siehe die Fotos eines andern Babys)

 

 

Size: 18 - 22cm
Habitat: Sand, rubble and mud, can also live at great depths
Range: Red Sea, East Africa to Tahiti, West Atlantic, East Atlantic, Japan to New Zealand

I identified all frogfishes (anglerfishes) to my best knowledge. Frogfishes are specially difficult to identify (see tips for identification) so mistakes are possible of course! Please write to me, if you have any questions. Latin names according to the ITIS Standard Report and Fishbase.
